Jessie Monk

My dear friend Jessie asked me to take some photos of her on a hot summer morning back in the days. We wandered around Berlin, finding magical spots around Bergmannkiez. I took some Polaroids, shot 6x6 Hasselblad photos and used my analogue 35mm Canon with a 50mm lens.

Jessie is an amazing musician, friend and human being with a great sense of humour, a huge range of emotions and at her young age so much depth in her spirituality.

She is a huge inspiration to me, and I am so fortunate that she supported me on my own musical journey when I was recording some of my songs in the studio. She gave me some singing lessons and supported me in the studio as a co-producer on most of the songs.

During this time we exchanged many thoughts and feelings about life and realised our deep connection and understanding of each other. We merged into soul sisters.
